Shuangyashan
Hongzhan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Shuangyashan Hongzhan) completed its
"300,000 t/a corn-based fuel ethanol project", as per the monitoring
report on the inspection and acceptance of the completed environmental
protection facilities publicised on 31 May.

by-product: 270,000 t/a of distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS)
Consumption of main raw material: 924,000 t/a of corn
Labour quota: 210 employees
Working system: 333 working days or 8,000 working hours a year

Shuangyashan
Hongzhan was established in May 2017 with a registered capital of
RMB100 million. It is a subsidiary of Heilongjiang Hongzhan
Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
Mengzhou
Houyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Mengzhou Houyuan) finished its "95.5％
ethanol technology upgrading project", according to the inspection
report publicised until early March.

Location: Huagong Town, Mengzhou City (county-level), Jiaozuo City, Henan Province

investment: USD471,260 (RMB3.35 million), of which USD57,677
(RMB410,000) for environmental protection, accounting for 12.24%
Production capacity: 30,000 t/a of 99.98% fuel ethanol
Production
process: the finished product is produced by preheating, evaporation,
vaporisation and superheating, adsorption and dehydration, condensation
and cooling, and other steps using the 95.5% ethanol produced by the
company.
Labour quota: 260 employees (no additional labour employed)
Working system: three 8hr shifts per workday, totalling 300 working days a year
Completion of construction: Oct. 2023
Mengzhou
Houyuan originally consumed about 176,000 t/a of corn to produce 49,738
t/a of 95.5% ethanol, 40,000 t/a of DDGS, and other products. After
this project entered production, its 95.5% ethanol capacity has been
reduced to 18,328 t/a.
